I disagree hard data shows the percentage in lower income groups (adjusted for inflation) has shrunk as more poor moved to middle class and more middle class move to upper income. The Bureau of Labor statistics shows work hours are decreasing not increasing.

it is no accident that the well being of gay couples dramatically increased and legal family options are now open to those who seek them. Life expectancy is higher than 50 years, home sizes are larger, more families own cars, a higher percentage of people are going to college. Infant mortality is down.

These are all verified by hard data not theory.
