I fear all you did here is show you have no clue what the clinical definition of Narcissistic Personality is. No, most people of distinction don't exhibit the traits of NPD. Rothbard is open to debate, it's sometimes hard to tell a Narcissist from an asshole and I knew him and he was an ass. When his absurd "plan" to rescue the kids was rejected as impossible he viciously smeared the people who successfully pulled off the rescue and said the only reason they did it was they were child molesters.

I suggest looking up the actual defintion of NPD which, I think, is best explained in the Diagnostical and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV.
