I would say two things. First, the scope of the article is about why those “crazies” are crazy, so no, it’s not about why libertarians are right. No one article is about everything. Second, I would never say libertarians are right as there are millions of such self-identified individuals. That includes many anarchists which I think is entirely wrong and damaging to the ideas.
Second, I don’t think the core value of libertarianism is what government should permit or prohibit, but what rights individuals hold. Answering the first question addresses the second one. I also do not believe we can define libertarianism by what it opposes but by what it supports. The keys to that as I see it are individual rights, equality of rights before the law, social tolerance, etc.
