The old bugaboo of colonialism doesn’t explain why some nations are rich and some are poor. The fact remains that nations which were never colonies are poor and some that never had colonies are wealthy should put that nonsense to rest. Colonialism was a net lose for many nations, making them poorer than they would have been.
